
Canine polyarthritis
This joint disorder can affect multiple joints in the dog. APPs such as Haptoglobin and CRP are higher in serum from dogs with polyarthritis than in healthy dogs and their concentration reflects the level of inflammation in the animal.
Canine lymphoma, leukaemia and multiple myeloma
Haptoglobin and CRP levels can be measured to aid diagnosis of lymphoma, leukaemia and multiple myeloma in the serum of affected dogs.
Feline Infectious Peritonitis
AGP is a valuable test for the differential diagnosis of feline infectious peritonitis as it is has a higher concentration in serum or effusions from cats with FIP in comparison to non-FIP cats with similar symptoms.
